Everybody is eligible to live at the Cameron Housing Authority;  however, preference points are given to applicants with defined characteristics.

The defined characteristics for preferaence points are:

• Elderly (62 or older) -3 points
• Has a disability - 3 points
• Family with children- 3 points
• Resident of  or working in Cameron - additional point
• Working at least 20 hours a week or receiving social security, pension, etc. - additional point

These points are designed to give residents with the most need the first opportunity for housing.
